The “Jaya Bahari Abadi” Neighborhood Surveillance Group (Kelompok Masyarakat Pengawas/Pokmaswas) has received third place within the 2024 Adibakti Mina Bahari Award. This prestigious award is given by the Indonesian’s Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries to stakeholders who’ve demonstrated excellent achievements within the marine and fisheries sector. The award was offered on Friday, September 26 by the Minister to the top of Pokmaswas Jaya Bahari Abadi in entrance of 10,000 attendees.

In recognition of their distinctive contributions, the Ministry honored Pokmaswas Jaya Bahari Abadi with a money prize of IDR 10 million (roughly USD 640), which can bolster the group’s future conservation efforts.
