Veronica Velazquez-Aviles

Chicana illustrator, photographer, and curator Veronica Velazquez-Avilez was born and raised within the Pacific Northwest and is at present based mostly in Los Angeles. Jenny Usi

Born and raised in San Francisco, Jenny Usi is a graphic designer at present working as Ritual Espresso’s digital advertising specialist.

“(The position) permits me to mix my love for design with my ardour for storytelling,” Jenny shares. “I’ve been fascinated by adverts and billboards since I used to be a toddler, so it’s becoming that my profession consists of telling tales by means of advertising.”

When requested what her inventive inspirations are, Jenny cites music and her Filipino background as highly effective driving forces. “Music is (an) important aspect in my inventive course of; every design I create is intertwined with the rhythm and melody of my favourite songs,” she explains. “These days, I’ve (additionally) been on a journey to reconnect with my Filipino heritage. I’ve explored methods to include my mother and father’ native dialect, Kapampangan, into my typography. It’s been rewarding to attach with others with the identical cultural background and interact in significant conversations about our heritage.”

Fatima Bejarano

Born and raised in Coahuila, Mexico, Fatima Bejarano at present resides in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico. She began her profession in espresso about 15 years in the past. Throughout the pandemic, she co-created Coa Espresso, by means of which she and her husband roast and commerce specialty coffees primarily from Mexico.
