Through the undertaking so far, college students from throughout the district have come collectively to assist construct a greenhouse for T.G. Scott Elementary College. By means of this initiative, the Monroe County College Diet Division has created a higher sense of group and funding amongst college students in several grade ranges, whereas additionally supporting the distinctive wants of multi-age college students of their agriculture and vitamin schooling journeys.  

To construct the greenhouse at T.G. Scott Elementary College, college students in Mr. DJ Hurn’s development class at Mary Individuals Excessive College constructed PVC pipe greenhouse cowl frames for the backyard beds. After these supplies had been delivered to T.G. Scott, Principal Chad Sanders together with the TGS Gifted Trainer, Mrs. Ashton Watts, collaborated with the Out of doors Membership to place the plastic protecting on the greenhouse cowl frames, and put together the backyard for planting. Beneath the path of TGS 1st Grade Trainer, Mrs. Nell Onstott, college students within the TGS Elementary Backyard Membership contributed to the work by serving to with the plastic protecting for the greenhouse and planting/watering the seeds.
