As Salaamu Alaykum
InshaAllah you and yours are healthy and enjoying the season.
Today, I’m in Placentia to try out Pakistani restaurant Food Street Halal.
I spent a total of $34.20 on everything you see.
First up is Garlic Naan. At least that is what I ordered. I ended up getting roti. It was bland and only had a hint of garlic. It gets a 5.5/10.
Next is Aloo Samosa. These looked good and would have gotten a better score if they were fully cooked. All were cold or still thawing out in the middle. They score a 6/10.
Now one of my all time faves— chicken biryani. Unfortunately, I can’t recommend this. The dish lacked flavor and the rice was undercooked. This gets a 6.5/10.
This Mango Lassi didn’t make things any sweeter. It tasted like a mango powder protein shake and I couldn’t finish it. It gets a 4.5/10.
Finally, Desi Chai. It’s hard to mess this up unless you don’t have the right type or amount of milk. I give it a 4/10.
Until next time, InshaAllah
Peace.
Note: Food Street Halal provided a verbal statement they only use halal meat, and do not sell alcohol.
